Russia revealed Wednesday that it may miss the 2016 Olympic basketball event after FIBA banned its national basketball teams from all competitions, according to the TASS news agency. The decision to ban was relayed by Horacio Muratore, the president of FIBA, the sport's ruling body, through a letter to the Russian basketball federation.

New York Mets reliever Jenrry Mejia was slapped with a 162-game suspension by the Major League Baseball for PED use just three weeks after returning from an 80-game PED suspension. In the second suspension, Mejia tested positive for Stanozolol and Boldenone, while his earlier suspension was just for Stanozolol.

Ward's camp noted that Golovkin had offered to fight Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the super-middleweight limit of 168 lbs., but wouldn't do so against Ward.
